The Assistant Manager at Volcom is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the store team, ensuring high standards of store security and operations. This role involves managing daily activities, motivating team members to achieve sales goals, and upholding company policies. The Assistant Manager will also assist in recruiting, training, and developing staff while promoting a positive and efficient work environment.

  • Provide leadership and direction to team members.
  • Manage store opening/closing procedures and maintain store security.
  • Assist in guiding, directing, and motivating team members.

  • Serve as Manager on Duty when needed.
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, and training of team members.

  • Complete and delegate tasks assigned by the retail manager.

  • Complete price and promotion changes and signage.
  • Participate in analysis of inventory and sales reports.
  • Assist with banking, cash handling, and depositing funds.

  • Represent the brand with actions and product knowledge.
  • Promote a fun, organized, efficient environment.
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in a retail/apparel setting, including 1+ years as an Assistant Manager.
  • 1+ years' visual merchandising experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with the brand and action sports industry.
  • Interpersonal, customer service, and basic math & reporting skills.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong ethical behavior.
  • Strong computer and POS system experience.
  • Strong sales knowledge and ability to train.
  • Visual merchandising experience
