About The Position
The Assistant Store Manager - Sales (ASM1) at LL Flooring plays a crucial role in the overall sales life cycle of the store. This position is not only about driving sales but also about providing exceptional customer service and support to both customers and fellow associates. The ASM1 is responsible for daily sales activities, ensuring that customers receive the best possible assistance in selecting flooring products that meet their needs. This includes engaging with customers to understand their projects and guiding them through the selection process, thereby enhancing their overall shopping experience. In addition to customer interaction, the Assistant Store Manager will take on store management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager. This includes supervising associates, managing daily store operations, and ensuring that the store meets its sales and profit goals. The ASM1 will also be involved in coaching and mentoring team members to help them achieve their personal sales targets, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. The role requires proactive selling techniques, including making outbound sales calls to both customers and professionals in the industry. The Assistant Store Manager will also assist with the upkeep of the flooring warehouse, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that the store is organized and presentable.
