As the Quality Assurance Housekeeping Assistant Manager, you are the guardian of excellence across our properties. With a sharp eye for detail and a passion for perfection, you ensure every room, hallway, and common space meets the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and safety. Supporting the iconic partnership between Holland America Line and Princess Cruises, you help deliver an unmatched Alaska experience-where adventure meets luxury. Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience in a supervisory position related to the hospitality industry preferred inspector experience.
  • Must be able to read and write to understand policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to follow, understand and develop own routine and follow through on a daily basis with minimum supervision.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

Responsibilities

  • Addresses outstanding quality issues with attendants.
  • Completes room inspections when needed.
  • Inspects VIP rooms before noon according to our Housekeeping VIP process.
  • Inspects areas of public space as assigned and assists Public Areas with best practices.
  • Assists with Audit preparation/performs safety inspections.
  • Assists with seasonal deep cleaning.
  • Assists with carpet/upholstery cleaning.
  • Assists with disinfecting affected rooms.
  • Assists with OXIVIR quality control inspections based on current sanitation level.
  • Reports any maintenance issues in guest rooms/public/employee areas.
  • Maintains open communication with management staff to ensure quality service is being provided and reports all challenges that may occur.
  • Assists management team with training.
  • Trains housekeeping staff for maximum productivity and standards of efficiency.
  • Responsible for accepting supply deliveries and transporting them from warehouse to Housekeeping storages around property.
  • Organizes/maintains all housekeeping storages.
  • Delivers supplies from HK storages to Building Closets once per week.
  • Prepares weekly inventories on supplies.
