About The Position

We're looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our Private Client team in Jersey. This specialist team supports wealthy families, family offices, and owner-managed businesses. You'll manage a portfolio of trust structures and play a key role in delivering high-quality service, mentoring junior team members, and driving operational improvements. This role suits someone with strong technical knowledge of trust structures, a proactive mindset, and a collaborative approach.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar trust administration role
• Studying towards or holding a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CGI, STEP or equivalent)
• Able to work independently and use initiative
• Strong academic background
• Proactive and forward-thinking
• Broad understanding of fiduciary products

Responsibilities

• Client Portfolio Management: Work closely with your team to manage a portfolio of private clients across a variety of structures.
• Technical Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert on trust structures and stay up to date with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and business partners, communicating openly and professionally.
• Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement ideas to improve daily task efficiencies and support financial processes including aged debt review and cash collections.
• Team Support: Mentor and supervise junior team members, offering guidance and support.
• Commercial Awareness: Identify cross-selling opportunities across service lines and jurisdictions.
• Time Management: Ensure accurate time recording for client matters to support billing and recovery.
