About The Position

We are looking for an extremely organized, friendly, and handy part-time assistant property manager to join our team for our Self Storage Facility. Experience in self-storage, Customer Service, Light Maintenance, Grounds Keeping is a plus. Our company is seeking a self-motivated, entrepreneurial individual with great customer service, phone, organizational and sales skills and flexible availability. You will assist customers by phone and in person by helping them understand their storage needs, renting units to new customers, processing payments from current tenants, answering questions, and solving problems.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in customer service or retail sales required
  • Proficient telephone skills are critical
  • Candidate must be able to work weekends
  • Candidate must be a team player
  • Must have a valid Driver License or State issued ID

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in self-storage
  • Experience in light maintenance
  • Experience in grounds keeping
  • Apartment, hotel or storage experience helpful but not necessary
  • Strong computer skills a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers by phone and in person with their storage needs
  • Rent units to new customers
  • Process payments from current tenants
  • Answer questions and solve problems for customers
  • Property and facility upkeep including grounds keeping and housekeeping
  • Complete rental agreements, receipts, insurance addendum and other required documents
  • Collect all rent, fees and other monies owed to the business
  • Maintain tenant files utilizing the provided computer system
  • Prepare and send weekly, monthly and other requested reports
  • Send required tenant legal notices
  • Make courtesy and collection calls, collect past-due rent, and document these calls in tenant files
  • Keep empty storage spaces clean and ready to rent
  • Participate in the promotion and accurate tracking of marketing programs and outside tracking services
