The Assistant Manager - Optical at America's Best plays a crucial role in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and managing personnel effectively. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the General Manager and other team members to foster a positive work environment and enhance the customer experience.

Requirements

• Optical sales experience.
• Supervising experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and build associate relationships.
• Sound understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Strong communication skills (both oral and written) for effective management of teams.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills for planning work and monitoring progress towards goals.
• Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales, and performance goals by reviewing the P&L.
• Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies.
• Convey a commitment to outstanding customer service and ensure all associates do the same.
• Ensure quality standards are met and review remakes to enforce compliance with policies.
• Communicate with the General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office, providing necessary store reporting.
• Ensure store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place and communicated to associates and doctors.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates, ensuring timely completion of daily functions.
• Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting, and retaining high-caliber staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
