The Assistant Manager, Operations role at lululemon is a vital component of the store leadership team, tasked with ensuring the smooth and successful operation of the retail business. This position involves managing various business enablers, including financial aspects such as profit and loss (P&L), budget management, expenses, and cash flow. The Assistant Manager is responsible for maintaining and maximizing inventory, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities. Additionally, they are in charge of writing the store's weekly schedule and handling people-related administrative tasks, including payroll and documentation. The role also requires executing company-driven operations-focused projects and initiatives at the store level. In this position, the Assistant Manager will implement the Store Manager's vision for operations, planning and preparing the weekly team member schedule based on labor requirements and budget considerations. They will actively engage on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests. The Assistant Manager will collaborate with the Store Manager to review and manage the budget and other business metrics, ensuring effective planning processes. Leadership on the retail floor is crucial, as the Assistant Manager will guide team members, manage retail floor coverage, and support sell-through management by ensuring accurate inventory counts and coordinating labor hours for product deliveries. The role also emphasizes creating a respectful and inclusive team environment, performing administrative actions to support team members, and establishing supportive relationships focused on personal and professional development. The Assistant Manager will facilitate a seamless guest experience by monitoring omnichannel programs and resolving guest feedback and issues. They will be accountable for aspects of the controllable budget and labor hours, indirectly managing a subset of store employees as delegated by the Store Manager.
