Overview: The Assistant Manager, Operations Services, is responsible for supervising the Team Lead, Sr. Operations Specialist and Operations Specialists, ensuring that their workload is well balanced and completed accurately and timely. This position is responsible for providing exceptional member service and operational leadership within the department, and provides critical support for branch team members, the VP of Retail, and regional managers by providing guidance and expertise on complex account updates that fall outside their usual areas of expertise. This support will be grounded in a thorough knowledge of current laws, regulations, and internal policies, ensuring that compliance is maintained while addressing complex member account situations. What You Will Do: Effectively supervises Member Operations Supervisor, Sr. Operations, Specialist Operations Specialist staff, ensuring optimal performance. Responsible for monitoring staff performance and managing the daily, weekly and monthly workflow deadlines, including that various department reports are reviewed and exceptions are processed timely and accurately. Responsible for ensuring that established policies, procedures and guidelines are followed. Requires a higher level of authority and is called upon to exercise good sound judgment in approving transactions, decision making and problem solving. Accountable for all aspects of operations related to performance including but not limited to member service security, reporting deadlines, quality control and accuracy of work. Responsible for high level adjustment transactions related to loans and deposits. Responds to inquiries on legal topics regarding dormant accounts, POA’s, Living Trusts and deceased accounts. Complex Account Updates: Assists with intricate account changes, corrections, or issues that require advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements and internal procedures. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensures all actions taken are in line with current laws and regulations to protect the credit union from compliance risks. Expert Guidance: Offers expert advice and clarification on regulatory issues or policy interpretations to help leadership and branch teams make informed decisions. Training and Knowledge Transfer: Shares insights from ongoing training and keeping leadership informed about updates in financial regulations and how they impact account management. Responsible for assisting staff with inquiries and research on Subpoenas, Levy’s, and IRA’s. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Premier America Team Members and management.
