About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited college/university.
• Professional Engineering certification.
• Ten plus years of experience in water and wastewater engineering.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid Class 'D' Tennessee Driver's License.
• Available to work after hours and perform call duty.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing and directing Water and Wastewater Engineering Department functions.
• Develop Water/Wastewater Engineering Department capital budget.
• Review and approve water and wastewater facilities for private development.
• Develop plans and specifications for capital projects.
• Assist with Water and Wastewater GIS mapping.
• Inspect construction of water and wastewater facilities.
• Direct capital project/design and construction management.
• Assist other areas with capital budgeting and management of all capital projects.
• Manage outside consultants including selection, fee negotiations, scheduling, payment, and review/approval of work.
• Confer with the public, consultants, and contractors concerning projects.
