About The Position

The Assistant Manager of Perishables at Hy-Vee is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of employees to ensure that customer needs are met. This role involves maintaining a positive atmosphere, providing excellent customer service, and overseeing various operational aspects of the store. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the District Store Director and Store Manager, and will have direct reports from all positions except those designated by the Store Manager. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• One year or more of retail experience, including performing the duties of an Assistant Manager.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
