Assistant Manager- Meat & Dairy Department

About the position

Kimberton Whole Foods is hiring in our Ottsville location! We are looking for a career-minded, full-time Assistant Manager of the Meat & Dairy Department. The position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with 8-hour shifts spread over 5 days. The schedule includes availability on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 6am to 2:30pm, and Friday from 12pm to 8:30pm. Candidates must be 18 years or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional service to all, including customers, team members, and delivery drivers.
• Supporting store operations, with a focus on fresh meat, dairy, frozen and baked goods.
• Working with the Perishable Department Head and Store Manager to closely maintain all elements of department sales performance.
• Working with the Department Head to place appropriate orders and manage inventory.
• Participating in the hiring, evaluation, coaching, and development of staff members.
• Participating in scheduled management and departmental meetings.
• Fulfilling Management on Duty responsibilities.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Full sense range (vision, hearing, and sense of smell) to read product labels and communicate effectively.
• Ability to lift, grip, and carry objects weighing up to 50-75 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stoop, squat, and kneel to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
• Ability to walk short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to work in cold environments and handle cold products for extended periods.
