About The Position

The Assistant Manager Manufacturing Project Lead role at Genpact is focused on driving cross-functional collaboration to plan, execute, and track projects under the product line program. This position ensures alignment with overall business and customer objectives while proactively identifying and resolving roadblocks to maintain project momentum and deliver successful outcomes. The role involves understanding the overall objective and vision for the product line program, collaborating across teams to transform the vision into a structured project plan, and providing leadership around change management, cost reduction, and producibility improvement for assigned hardware.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing principles from order intake through shipment
  • Ability to understand and assess a wide range of source/vendor capabilities in manufacturing
  • Experience in Project Management in a Manufacturing and Sourcing environment, with experience related to engine components
  • Competence with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Previous experience/Good Knowledge with Machining, Coating processes, Welding/Heat Treat, Composites

Responsibilities

  • Understand overall objective and vision for product line program
  • Collaborate across teams to transform the vision into a clearly structured project plan
  • Get alignment on project plan from various stakeholders, develop RACI and key actionable milestones
  • Provide leadership around change management, cost reduction, and producibility improvement for assigned hardware
  • Collaboratively lead projects to improve assigned components that benefit both the customer and the business
  • Track milestones and deadlines
  • Complete an IOI (Items of Interest) in weekly meetings that describes the progress of each assigned project
  • Utilize various technology, tools, and methodologies to track project status effectively
  • Utilize digital tools that minimize report-outs and drive quick decision making
  • Share clear agendas, keep meetings focused, improve time management, promote team alignment, and support accountability and follow-up
  • Facilitate and create introduction plans for active projects on assigned hardware
  • Coordinate and deliver introductory engagements to ensure milestone completions
  • Conduct weekly meetings with cross-functional teams to review the project plan, identify constraints, address issues, and ensure alignment with execution goals
  • Proactively remove obstacles and escalate matters when necessary to maintain progress according to plan
  • Communicate and understand a wide range of manufacturing-related topics including ERP systems, LOBs, APQP, process capability, quality systems, tooling, equipment, constraint management, purchased services, lean, and workforce planning
  • Support effective problem-solving through a data-driven approach and collaboration with the larger team
  • Systematically record insights and takeaways for future reference and continuous improvement
  • Ensure centralized view for Project Vision, SOPs, IOIs, RACI, and data
  • Supervise and manage Supplier's performance of Services and/or transfer of Deliverables
