The Assistant Manager/Leasing Agent is responsible for supporting the Property Manager in the daily operations of a 272-unit apartment complex in Tempe, AZ. This full-time role involves managing resident relations, overseeing move-ins and move-outs, maintaining records, and assisting with leasing and marketing activities. The position requires a proactive individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle various administrative tasks.

  • Assist the Property Manager with on-site operations
  • Handle all details of Move Ins and Move Outs, including apartment inspections
  • Maintain resident records in One-Site
  • Assist Manager with rent collection, bank deposits, and petty cash records
  • Notify the Property Owner of any budget variations
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports as directed by owners
  • Handle lease negotiations and renewals
  • Show apartments to prospective residents
  • Work with maintenance team on work orders and make ready process
  • Assist with marketing and leasing activities as requested
  • Assist Manager with resident relations and enforce community rules and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Property Management/Leasing at a 200+ unit complex
  • Math skills for basic calculations and interpreting graphs
  • Reasoning skills for following detailed instructions and problem-solving
  • Computer skills, particularly with MS Office Applications and One-Site
  • Customer Service/Sales Skills
  • Affordable housing experience (Section 8)
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Experience in effective conflict resolution
