About The Position

Assistant Manager Indirect Spend Facilitates the supply chain function to ensure all purchases optimize value and quality received for all Departmental purchases.

Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university
  • 8-10 related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience supervising or leading small teams
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace in a rapidly changing business environment, have the ability to understand and reprioritize
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks according to urgency and department objectives. Able to thrive in a team environment or work autonomously
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, inflation, deflation, and cost avoidance.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret quotes, estimates, or bids to ensure requirements/specifications or scope of work will be met.
  • Ability to compare quotes, estimates, or bids.
  • Ability to read contractual agreements and understand the commercial terms.
  • Experience with ERP systems and Supply Chain Software(e.g., Oracle, SAP, or Coupa)

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in developing queries and analytical reports in tools such as SQL, Python, and/ or able to develop reports and dashboards in Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI

Responsibilities

  • Acquire bids from vendors that will meet specifications presented by other departments.
  • Supervisor and mentor Supply Coordinators to ensure daily activities are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide data driven insights to the Supply Chain Manager for Strategic planning and decision making.
  • Process purchase requisitions for goods and services according to Departmental Purchasing Policies.
  • Identify opportunities to aggregate spend, which in turn will increase cost savings.
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships with our vendors and internal customers.
  • Enforce Company purchasing policies and procedures. Ensure that all purchase requisitions and other purchase documents comply with established processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain price matrix, quotes, and vendor information.
  • Take all necessary steps to ensure that service execution meets and exceeds contractual/customer expectations.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
