About The Position

Gibbs Oil Company is excited to welcome applications for the position of Assistant Manager in Training at our dynamic Convenience Store. This role is tailored for individuals eager to develop their management skills in a retail environment while delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management and store operations is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for lengthy periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Store Manager in daily operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and support to all store patrons.
  • Learning and executing inventory management tasks, including ordering, stocking, and organizing products.
  • Supporting the training and development of new team members.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the store, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Participating in sales promotions and assisting with marketing initiatives.
