The Assistant Store Manager will join the team to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. This role involves assisting with day-to-day store activities, helping customers in a positive and approachable manner, and addressing their questions or concerns. Responsibilities also include organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery trucks to the stockroom and sales floor, maintaining seasonal areas, and performing opening and closing procedures. The Assistant Manager will process corporate directives, maintain promotional displays, assist with ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits, and receipts), and loss prevention. They are expected to maintain store areas to company standards, protect company assets, and adhere to safety guidelines. A key part of the role is to help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates, ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment. The position also requires maintaining cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal. This is a full-time, at-will employment position. Managers may be required to provide background information for specialized licenses to sell alcoholic beverages or tobacco products in certain jurisdictions.
