We’re seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service and team development. This role involves assisting with store functions and day-to-day store activities, helping customers in a positive and approachable manner, and addressing their questions or concerns. Key responsibilities include organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery trucks to the stockroom and sales floor, maintaining seasonal areas, and performing opening and closing procedures. The Assistant Manager will process corporate directives, maintain promotional displays, assist with ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits/receipts), and loss prevention. The role also requires maintaining store areas to company standards, protecting company assets, adhering to safety guidelines, and ensuring all store associates follow policies. A significant part of the job is to help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates, fostering a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions. Additionally, the Assistant Manager is responsible for maintaining overall store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
