We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. This role involves assisting with day-to-day store activities, positively interacting with customers, organizing and transferring merchandise, and maintaining seasonal store areas. Responsibilities also include performing opening and closing procedures, processing corporate directives, maintaining promotional displays, assisting with ordering, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits/receipts), and loss prevention. The Assistant Manager is expected to maintain store areas to company standards, protect company assets, adhere to safety guidelines, and ensure all store associates follow policies. They will help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates, fostering a positive, safe, and respectful environment. Maintaining store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal, is also a key duty. As a manager, there may be a requirement to obtain specialized licenses for selling alcohol and/or tobacco, which involves providing detailed background information to local jurisdictions. Failure to comply or qualify for such licenses can lead to demotion or separation of employment.
