Key responsibilities include organizing and transferring merchandise, maintaining seasonal areas, and performing opening and closing procedures. The Assistant Store Manager will process corporate directives, maintain promotional displays, assist with ordering, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits), and loss prevention. They are also responsible for maintaining store standards, securing company assets, adhering to safety guidelines, and ensuring associates follow policies. A significant part of the role is to help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates, fostering a positive, safe, and respectful environment. Additionally, the position requires maintaining overall store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
