We’re seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service and team development. This role involves assisting with day-to-day store activities, helping customers in a positive and approachable manner, and addressing their questions or concerns. Key responsibilities include organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery trucks to the stockroom and sales floor, maintaining seasonal areas, and performing opening and closing procedures. The Assistant Store Manager will also process corporate directives, maintain promotional displays, assist with ordering merchandise, handle damaged goods, manage record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits, and receipts), and implement loss prevention strategies. The position requires maintaining store areas to company standards, including a well-stocked sales floor and an organized stockroom, and protecting all company assets, including cash. Adherence to policies and procedures, including safety guidelines, and ensuring all store associates follow company policies are crucial. The Assistant Store Manager will help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates, fostering a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders. Maintaining cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, and taking out trash, is also a responsibility. Other duties may be assigned.
