We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team, focusing on store operations, customer service, and team development. This role involves assisting with day-to-day store activities, positively engaging with customers, and handling merchandise from delivery to sales floor, including maintaining seasonal areas. Key responsibilities include performing opening and closing procedures, processing corporate directives, and ensuring the effectiveness of promotional displays. The Assistant Store Manager will also help with ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits), and loss prevention. Maintaining store standards for cleanliness and organization, protecting company assets, and adhering to safety guidelines are crucial. This position supports the Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates, fostering a positive and respectful environment for customers and colleagues. Additionally, the role requires maintaining overall store cleanliness, including restrooms, floors, and trash removal. As a manager, you may be required to provide background information for specialized licenses to sell alcohol and/or tobacco, with failure to comply potentially leading to demotion or separation.
