JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the supervision and implementation of all UO programs and procedures as well as the Fire Safety Program to include inspection schedules, audits, written programs, drill schedules, system design review, trouble call response, regulatory interface and permits. Likewise acts as Champion of the Emergency Preparedness and Fire Prevention Framework and associate annual audits. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervisor and perform Ensure routine fire safety inspections of all UO properties including off site locations to maintain all worksites within local code and UPR best management practices, , conduct drills and audits for UO facilities. Maintain and fix fire equipment as required by code, authority having jurisdiction and/or policy. Act as liaison with outside agencies, AHJ and Factory Mutual to align best management and regulatory requirements. Maintain the written UO Fire Prevention program by conducting scheduled audits of the written program, training and associated audit checklists as scheduled. Supervise programs, inspections, risk assessments and control procedures to include scheduling of routine and prevention maintenance, updating regular site inspection criteria, and maintaining regulatory checklists. Responds to resolve various compliance issues ensuring acceptable controls are identified and implemented. Review and approve facility modifications against local fire code, and ensure that plans as required are reviewed and approved by Factory Mutual and authorities having jurisdiction. Oversee EHS vendors who perform fire related services. Routinely audit vendors under the direction of other UO departments who perform fire related services. Perform investigations of all fire/smoke related incidents for root cause and corrective action. Support outside resources as necessary during third party investigations. Trains, develops and schedules team members by administering Universal Orlando policies and procedures, to include disciplinary action, counseling, attendance tracking, hiring and performing staffing evaluations. Facilitates and maintains effective communication mechanisms with various departments and acts as subject matter expert on related standards to ensure compliance is being sustained and corporate expectations are achieved. Participate in annual pyro/special effects training to assist and audit proper use and storage techniques. Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. Performs other duties as assigned.
