About The Position

The Assistant Manager at Taco Cabana is responsible for supporting the operations of the restaurant and managing a team of hourly associates during their shifts. This role involves overseeing restaurant operations, ensuring financial performance, developing staff, maintaining customer satisfaction, and upholding quality standards in accordance with company goals.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Business Administration or Hospitality preferred; High School degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years working in a restaurant environment for external candidates; internal candidates should have a good record of achieving results.
• Functional understanding of Profit & Loss statements and cost controls.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and exercise sound judgment.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Basic computer skills, with Excel preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant setting.
• Knowledge of the brand's operating procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the management team in staffing and daily operational activities to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
• Supervise and direct staff to ensure prompt and courteous service, proper food preparation, and cleanliness of the restaurant.
• Assist in recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training of hourly team members, and evaluate their performance.
• Utilize company training tools to provide training in all aspects of restaurant operations.
• Assist in maintaining restaurant equipment and facility according to company guidelines.
• Perform administrative tasks including payroll actions, inventory ordering, and employee scheduling.
• Attend scheduled meetings and training sessions to stay current with certifications.
• Assist the GM with planning and implementing local store marketing activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting functions and internal audit guidelines.
