About The Position

The Assistant Manager, CU History & Culture is responsible for supporting, developing, and assisting in the management of the CU History & Culture team. This role involves identifying specific learning and engagement needs through needs assessment and consultation with management, supporting organizational projects, and assisting in planning sessions and special events as needed. The Assistant Manager will ensure effective technology and learning methodologies are used to meet program objectives and improve processes. They will also respond to complex situations in the classroom and lead the functions of the history & culture department, including service culture, team engagement, and performance management. The position requires building relationships throughout the organization and may involve participation in the development of the annual department budget.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years previous related experience required.
  • 1-3 years previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Experience with interviewing, orientation, training, and/or supervision of employees.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of adult learning, project management, and instructional methodologies.
  • Experience leading remote teams via technology and delivering presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Support, develop, and assist in the management of the CU History & Culture team.
  • Identify specific learning and engagement needs through needs assessment and consultation with management.
  • Support organizational projects, All Team update segments, Planning Sessions, and special events.
  • Ensure effective technology and learning methodologies are used to meet program objectives.
  • Respond to complex/escalated situations in the classroom and on projects.
  • Lead and provide expertise in the functions of the history & culture department.
  • Build and maintain relationships throughout the organization.
  • Assist in the development of History & Culture strategies to achieve department KPI's.
  • Supervise team members directly, including selection, training, and performance appraisal.
  • Help establish and communicate the credit union's goals and standards.
  • Identify areas to streamline department and credit union operations.
  • Comply with all government regulatory policies and internal procedures.
  • May act in the capacity of the Manager in their absence.

  • Competitive salary range of $96,110.00 - $153,777.00.
  • Full-time position with scheduled weekly hours of 40.
