Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience preferred.
  • NICU experience preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Responsibilities

  • Combine clinical expertise with contemporary leadership practices to achieve outstanding clinical outcomes.
  • Work closely with the unit Manager to develop action plans focusing on quality and safety improvements.
  • Lead the implementation of action plans and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Foster an environment that empowers the team to excel in both patient and organizational outcomes.
  • Advocate for and model evidence-based practices and professional nursing standards.
