About The Position

This Assistant Manager, Client Utilities position will provide services for convention clients and exhibitors in coordinating all Electrical, Plumbing, and other Utility Services. Must be able to work with considerable independence regarding completion of work assignments to deliver excellent service to all customers of the Atlantic City Convention Center. This role pays an annual salary of $53,000-$58,000 Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays) This position will remain open until May 8, 2026.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • 3-5 years previous experience as a Customer Service Representative.
  • Flexibility to work required hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as necessary.
  • Ability to physically perform the duties required of this position.
  • Excellent writing, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
  • Computer skills including navigating keyboard and number pad, and simple data entry. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Respond well to direction, able to follow oral and written instruction.
  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Be flexible in accepting daily assignments / duties.
  • Understand safety awareness.
  • Complete tasks timely and effectively
  • Follow event calendar and resumes and weekly schedules.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of work environment.
  • Ability to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods of time on a regular, daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process service orders and adjustments; review for accuracy and payment(s)
  • Manager and prepare work orders and ensure that all have a floor plan with necessary information pertaining to each connection.
  • Create events in operating and online ordering system.
  • Manage online ordering portal
  • Attend show meetings as scheduled
  • Manage and handle exhibitor problems and complaints by telephone, in person, or by email prior to and during events
  • Develop and maintain communications and coordination with other related departments.
  • Maintain a neat and efficient work environment.
  • Manager and dispatch last minute orders, electricians or plumbers to address customers’ needs and/or concerns.
  • Reconcile accounts with exhibitors and show decorators prior to show closing.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor
