About The Position

The Assistant Manager of Centralized Processing at Goodwill North Central Texas is responsible for overseeing designated staff, managing their schedules, and providing training to ensure the smooth functioning of Centralized Processing operations on a daily basis. This role includes assisting with conflict resolution, managing ongoing employee concerns, and collecting supporting documentation as needed. The Assistant Manager will assist with viewing applications, conducting phone screens, verifying availability, and scheduling interviews under the direction of the Regional Production Manager. They will assign daily tasks to meet production targets and foster team morale while cultivating a positive work atmosphere. The position requires adept time management skills, ensuring that production consistently meets or exceeds established department quotas while maintaining high standards of quality and pricing. The Assistant Manager will also supervise special projects such as new store openings and various departmental events, coordinating closely with the Transportation department and other warehouse departments to ensure efficient product and supply movement.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven skills in planning, organizing, reporting, and training.
  • Ability to work effectively with disabled and disadvantaged individuals.
  • Strong leadership skills demonstrated in previous employment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to operate GWNCT's inventory management system or aptitude for quickly acquiring it.
  • Current fashion and merchandise quality knowledge.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Forklift certification or ability to acquire it within 60 days.
