Under the direction of the Manager, Beverage, the Assistant Manager, Beverage oversees beverage service operations throughout Yaamava Resort & Casino with a focus on exceptional customer experience and operational excellence in all areas. This role plays a critical role in shaping and guiding safety and sanitation policies and procedures for all relevant inspections, while also overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of comprehensive training programs to ensure an efficient and effective beverage operation. This role collaborates with multiple departments to educate, influence, and support initiatives by providing subject matter expertise that informs business decisions. Additionally, this position actively partners with other functions to identify and support opportunities, championing the goals and priorities of the enterprise in a manner that consistently reflects and upholds the Tribe's vision, mission, and values.

  • Leads all aspects of the Beverage department to include exceptional guest service, efficient and accurate beverage service, cleanliness and operational excellence.
  • Ensures the safety and security of all team members working in beverage areas by verifying adherence to all policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Monitors and maintains sanitation standards across all beverage venues to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Responsible for the overall development and implementation of all training to support efficient beverage operations.
  • Utilizes data-driven information to make informed recommendations and ensure effective inventory control.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements innovative solutions to enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Ensures all beverage products are served promptly and in full compliance with established service standards and Health Department regulations.
  • Executes thorough knowledge of local, state and federal regulations for the sale and distribution of alcohol and cigarettes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or related field required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of food and beverage service in a high-volume bar, restaurant and/or gaming environment required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language.
  • Must possess strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Must be able to communicate change effectively, overcome resistance and build commitment.
  • Must maintain a strict level of confidentiality and act in a manner consistent with all legal and regulatory requirements.
