About The Position

The Assistant Manager for Adult Residential Programs at GIL Foundation is a pivotal role that combines leadership, compassion, and a commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position is designed for someone who has previously served as a leader or role model in the field and is ready to take on more responsibilities in a challenging yet rewarding environment. The Assistant Manager will work closely with a dedicated team to ensure that the residents receive the highest quality of care and support, fostering an atmosphere of respect and dignity. In this role, the Assistant Manager will oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with state licensing regulations while managing program assignments. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and possess a strong work ethic, demonstrating integrity and responsibility in all aspects of their work. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for supervising a team of 12-15 staff members, providing coaching and mentorship to ensure that all team members are equipped to meet the needs of the residents. The position requires flexibility in scheduling due to the nature of 24-hour care, and the Assistant Manager will be part of a rotation for on-call responsibilities. The role is not just about management; it is about making a meaningful difference in the lives of the residents and their families. The Assistant Manager will engage with residents in community outings and recreational activities, promoting personal expression and new experiences.
