About The Position
Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to join our team at The Arden Westchase in Houston, TX. This role is pivotal in assisting the maintenance supervisor and ensuring the physical integrity of the property is maintained to the highest standards. The Assistant Maintenance will work closely with the leasing team to maximize renewal and leasing opportunities, ensuring that all maintenance duties are performed with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance with Valiant Residential policies. The ideal candidate will embody our mission to innovate property management through prosperous partnerships and a compassionate approach to service. In this position, the Assistant Maintenance will be responsible for completing service requests made by residents within a 24-hour timeframe. This includes implementing and managing a system for handling these requests efficiently. The role also involves scheduling the on-call rotation for maintenance staff and assisting with service as necessary. The Assistant Maintenance must conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws, including ADA, Fair Housing, and OSHA regulations. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of preventive maintenance, service requests, and the make-ready status of all vacant apartments. The Assistant Maintenance will also schedule and perform minor and routine maintenance on various equipment, ensuring that all tools are kept in excellent condition. Daily tasks will involve diagnosing and performing maintenance or repairs on electrical and plumbing systems, A/C and heating systems, appliances, and other property features. The role requires participation in standby emergency schedules for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage, as well as assisting in preparing the property for inspections. The Assistant Maintenance will also perform any additional duties as assigned by the property manager or Regional Community Supervisor.
