Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in the packaging industry is a plus
• Ability to read and follow instructions
• Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume, and rate
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
• May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times
• Follow Good Manufacturing Processes
• Learn and comply with Pratt Industries quality procedures
• Assist the Machine Operator with maximizing the utilization of equipment
• Improve setup times and reduce downtime
• Identify and address mechanical concerns
• Maintain a clean work area using good housekeeping procedures
• Learn and understand the equipment capabilities and drive efficiencies
• Cross-train on other machines in the facility
• Assist Machine Operator with completing necessary reports accurately and timely
• Turn in maintenance work order requests for needed repairs
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Adhere to production schedule and make recommendations for optimization
• Report any unusual scheduling issues to Supervisor
• Work overtime as necessary, sometimes on short notice
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
