About The Position

The Assistant, Knit & Luxletic Fabric and Color is responsible for executing many tasks, primarily in our PLM system. It is essential to remain organized, up to date, and accurate in all areas to ensure proper costing, quality control, and on-time production. The Assistant, Knit & Luxletic Fabric and Color will be an integral part of the Color, Fabric and Trim Development and Execution Department and will be responsible for assisting with many of the department’s daily tasks from initial concept through store shipme nt. The Assistant, Knit & Luxletic Fabric and Color will also assist in the accuracy and consistency of color for solids, prints and patterns, sweaters, accessory solids, and accessory prints and patterns for the company, consistent with the market positioning of Lilly Pulitzer. The Assistant, Knit & Luxletic Fabric and Color will work in the sublimation lab each season printing fabrics. Requirements

  • A four-year college degree is , preferably with a major/minor within textiles, merchandising, design, apparel, apparel production or an equivalent .
  • 1+ years of textiles, design, and/or apparel production experience, preferably in the fashion or retail industry preferred but not .
  • Organization, time management, understanding of urgency, and ability to clearly communicate will be imperative to this role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word is .

Nice To Haves

  • Light Box and Spectrophotometer experience is preferred but not .
  • Knowledge of Centric/PLM systems is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain reports and systems for all knit and Luxletic fabric and color including but not limited to Centric.
  • Maintain the Knit and Luxletic Fabric and Color Library to keep the most current and relevant submi ssions readily available and organized.
  • Assist in commenting on solid lab dips and print strike offs; work with mills to track ready dates and request updates.
  • Assist with bulk color approvals and bulk fabric test results to ensure mills match approvals previously given at sales sample stage.
  • Support on knit fabric development, when necessary.
  • Maintain close working relationship with cross functional teams including but not limited to Design, Production, Technical Design, Quality Assurance, Color and Print, Merchandising.
  • Communicate daily with overseas partners via e-mail and at times, Microsoft Teams Video Conferences.
  • Work in the sublimation lab printing yardage seasonally and on an as-needed basis.
