Empire Today is seeking an Assistant Installation Manager (AIM) to join our dynamic and innovative marketing team. The AIM will be responsible for managing installation projects related to in-home and business-to-business flooring sales. This role involves ensuring that all necessary products, supplies, and installation contractor resources are effectively allocated for each project. The AIM will manage and direct the allocation of installation resources while also setting customer expectations before, during, and after the installation process. Analyzing adjustments and solutions will be crucial to achieving successful flooring project outcomes. In this position, the AIM will locate, evaluate, and onboard independent installer talent to meet customer demand for both soft and hard surface skillsets. The role requires liaising between managers, customers, and employees to ensure smooth operations. Regular evaluations of customer satisfaction regarding subcontractors' installation work will be conducted, with recommendations made for continued allocation of opportunities. The AIM will foster strong working relationships with installation contractors, focusing on creating a culture of feedback, coaching, and continuous improvement. The AIM will audit every project to ensure that materials are readily available and that the scope of work aligns with the sales contract. They will direct the allocation of subcontractors to customer projects based on evaluations of licensure, qualifications, and geographic locations, utilizing Empire systems. Daily attendance at Pre-loadout Meetings will be required to report on status, activities, and opportunities. The AIM will ensure timely loadout of installation subcontractors through effective process management and will collaborate with various stakeholders to address customer complaints related to installation. Additionally, the AIM will manage loadout operations for carpet and hard surfaces, aiming for efficiency with a target of fifteen minutes per installer subcontractor. Post-loadout Meetings will also be attended to report on the status of allocations and to collaborate with other departments to resolve any issues. Engaging with installation contractors at job sites to troubleshoot customer issues and address change orders will be a key responsibility. The AIM will also approve or decline subcontractor change order requests promptly and manage the scope and monetary impact of these changes, ensuring proper payment processing. Job-site visits will be performed weekly to evaluate subcontractor qualifications and address any customer complaints. The AIM will coach installer subcontractors to meet customer delivery expectations and handle any grievances or complaints swiftly. They will control the distribution of materials and supplies for customer jobs, ensuring proper return and accounting in Empire's systems. Safety and security during loadout will be a priority, along with monitoring compliance with policies and safety measures. The AIM may also assist with other market initiatives as directed by the General Manager and perform additional functions as necessary.
