About The Position

Little Legends Learning Center, Inc is currently hiring for a full-time or part-time Assistant Infant Daycare Teacher to help nurture and care for babies aged six weeks to fifteen months in the Champaign, IL area. This childcare position earns a competitive wage of $15 - $17 per hour , depending on experience. Part-time hours are 11:00 am - 5:45 pm. As a full-time or part-time Assistant Infant Daycare Teacher, you are a gentle, caring person who helps our teachers take care of the little ones in our center. You bring a calming presence to our daycare, ensuring all babies are comfortable and happy. Alongside your head teacher and support staff, you develop age-appropriate activities that encourage healthy child development in a safe environment. You provide daily care for our infants and help with activities like eating, face washing, and diaper changing. Proactively, you identify and remove potential choking hazards or other dangers from the environment in order to keep our kids safe. If a baby starts crying, you compassionately tend to their needs and help relax them. At the end of the day, you help clean the daycare, sanitizing toys and commonly touched surfaces. Requirements

1+ years of experience working in a licensed daycare
3 written references
CPR/first aid certification or willingness to obtain
Food handler certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire
Gateways to Opportunity membership or willingness to join
High school diploma or equivalent
Willingness to submit to a physical
Must be able to pass a background check and a physical
Any job offer will be based on the results of background and physical testing

Nice To Haves

Experience working with infants would be preferred but is not required.
