We’re seeking an Assistant Immigration Specialist who is dedicated to advocacy and service and has experience in immigration legal services. In this role, you’ll work alongside BIA/DOJ accredited specialists and immigration legal experts, helping clients navigate the immigration process. From family sponsorships to DACA renewals, your work will change lives—one application at a time!

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required, Bachelor's preferred (foreign credentials accepted!).
  • 3+ years working with immigrant populations.
  • Highly organized, with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, digital tools, and social media.
  • Passion for helping people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to juggle priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Russian is a huge plus!
  • Willing to work evenings and weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately input and maintain participant data in immigration databases, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Organize and maintain physical case files according to contract requirements.
  • Assist participants with completing immigration documents and scheduling appointments.
  • Respond to program inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Keep up with the latest immigration policies through training, research, and networking.
  • Support staff with scheduling, translating, legal consultations, and program coordination.
  • Participate in community outreach to connect with more immigrants in need.
  • Attend workshops, webinars, and trainings to enhance your immigration expertise.
