Provides intermediate level administrative support to a department or Service Center. The role includes answering telephone calls, checking in and escorting visitors, opening and distributing mail, performing word processing and data entry, maintaining files, ordering supplies, reviewing and/or verifying payroll, and forwarding information to internal departments for processing. Additional responsibilities include preparing and entering purchase orders or voucher requests into PeopleSoft Financials, tracking paid invoices for budget reconciliation and planning, and interfacing with vendors. The position also requires providing customer service, answering routine questions, resolving or researching issues, and performing other support duties specific to the functional department. The role involves maintaining spreadsheets and databases, performing queries, compiling data, and preparing reports.
