About The Position

Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for an Assistant Housekeeping and Laundry Manager at Phoebe Allentown, a 500+ bed Continuing Care Retirement Community, located in Allentown, PA. The Assistant Housekeeping & Laundry Manager is responsible for developing and executing housekeeping and laundry solutions to meet customer needs. Manages the laundry room and the facility standards of cleanliness and appearance. Requirements

Requires 1-3 years of related experience in a Manager or Supervisor role.
Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Previous experience in a high production laundry operation required.
Strong leadership skills with a strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task

Nice To Haves

Housekeeping or Environmental Services Management experience preferred.
Healthcare experience preferred.
Experience managing a union workforce is a plus

Responsibilities

Manages day to day operations in the Laundry Room including the processing and distribution of all linen for the entire facility and residents' personal clothing.
Maintains equipment and chemical pars including inventory, ordering, restocking/refilling.
Responsible for staffing and productivity data plus scheduling, training and performance management.
Ensures quality control and all linen meets the quality standards designated by specific customers
Manages floor care, trash removal and biohazardous waste removal, overall cleanliness of the buildings, and resident room cleaning.
Conducts rounding with residents, nursing and department heads, provides service recovery, quality audits and inspections.
Ensures compliance with appropriate infection prevention, safety, OSHA, Joint Commission and regulatory standards.
Determine the needs of the clients' operation and ensures that the appropriate Aramark resources are engaged.
Mentor employees by creating a shared understanding about what needs to be achieved and how it is to be achieved.
Reward and recognize employees.
Ensure safety and sanitation standards in operation are compliant with Aramark and client's regulations.
