About The Position

Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for an Assistant Housekeeping and Laundry Manager at Phoebe Allentown, a 500+ bed Continuing Care Retirement Community, located in Allentown, PA. The Assistant Housekeeping & Laundry Manager is responsible for developing and executing housekeeping and laundry solutions to meet customer needs. Manages the laundry room and the facility standards of cleanliness and appearance. Requirements

  • Requires 1-3 years of related experience in a Manager or Supervisor role.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in a high production laundry operation required.
  • Strong leadership skills with a strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task

Nice To Haves

  • Housekeeping or Environmental Services Management experience preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience managing a union workforce is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manages day to day operations in the Laundry Room including the processing and distribution of all linen for the entire facility and residents' personal clothing.
  • Maintains equipment and chemical pars including inventory, ordering, restocking/refilling.
  • Responsible for staffing and productivity data plus scheduling, training and performance management.
  • Ensures quality control and all linen meets the quality standards designated by specific customers
  • Manages floor care, trash removal and biohazardous waste removal, overall cleanliness of the buildings, and resident room cleaning.
  • Conducts rounding with residents, nursing and department heads, provides service recovery, quality audits and inspections.
  • Ensures compliance with appropriate infection prevention, safety, OSHA, Joint Commission and regulatory standards.
  • Determine the needs of the clients' operation and ensures that the appropriate Aramark resources are engaged.
  • Mentor employees by creating a shared understanding about what needs to be achieved and how it is to be achieved.
  • Reward and recognize employees.
  • Ensure safety and sanitation standards in operation are compliant with Aramark and client's regulations.
