Pomeroy Living is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Housekeeping Director to join our team. You will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, sanitary, and comfortable living environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

Ability to pass a 50-pound lift test.
Prior housekeeping and/or laundry experience in a facility setting (e.g., healthcare, hospitality).
Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desire to grow into a leadership role at Pomeroy Living.

Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, dry mopping, wet mopping, sanitizing, and scrubbing assigned resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
Clean walls, ceilings, windows, mirrors, and waxed floors according to department procedures and cleaning schedules.
Properly dispose of trash and waste, including biohazard waste and other materials requiring special handling.
Manage and direct housekeeping and laundry tasks in the absence of the Housekeeping Director.
Assist with the recruitment, hiring, and training of new housekeeping and laundry staff.
Assist with the scheduling of housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure adequate coverage.
Assist the Housekeeping and Laundry Director with ordering supplies and managing the department budget.
Respect resident rights and maintain confidential resident information.
