(Larc), is seeking professional, kind, caring, creative, and energetic Assistant House Managers to assist people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live full and happy lives. Spend your days positively enhancing the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing support in every aspect of their lives. Whether it is a vocational/day program, or a home setting (group home and in-home setting), you can make a difference. Create fun and innovative activities to share with supported individuals. The DSP position is hands-on. You will provide personal care including personal hygiene, food preparation, transportation, and recreational activities, such as going to the movies, shopping, concerts, dining out, etc. All at no cost to you, you get paid to help the people you support HAVE FUN!

Requirements

  • Minimum of an associate degree and 2-years manager/leadership experience with 1-year on the job experience OR at least 3-years leadership/managerial experience with at least 2-years of on the job experience OR at least 5-years on the job experience in a group home setting.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule; including at different sites and programs as needed.
  • Ability to maintain assigned work hours.
  • Must maintain all LARC required and State mandated training certifications and re-certifications.
  • Must be able to become med certified.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the House Manager with interviewing, hiring and training employees.
  • Plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems with consultation of the House manager.
