About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring that team members are properly trained on procedures to operate and/or maintain machinery while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Assistant Hourly Trainer Tasks: Production Line Trainer must be proficient in all jobs in the production area and be able to teach other team members how to perform jobs. Production Line Trainer must possess good communication skills and be able to work with all Team Members. PLT must maintain a good attendance record. If PLT does not maintain attendance, PLT will be removed from position and returned to the production line. PLT must be able to take direction from all supervisors and GPM's in an efficient and timely manner. PLT will assist Management in the placement of new hires to their assigned areas. Communicate to Management any concerns or problems with new hires and work with Management on resolutions. Work with each new hire to help them learn their assigned job. This will include teaching team member how to pack, hang, cut, truss, wash tubs, etc. Ensure new hire is familiar with the layout of the plant and egress from their assigned area and all evacuation routes. Also ensure new hire knows where restrooms, break room and nurse's station are located. Ensure new hire knows their supervisor, GPM, and fellow team members. Must be capable and willing to undergo cross-training in the Harvest Room to provide assistance when needed.

Requirements

  • Must have 6 months of continuous work experience with a single employer within the last 12 months
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Rehire Consideration 180 days (6 months) waiting period
  • Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire
