About The Position

Under general supervision monitors and guides trainee performance. Employees in this job will train TEAM members to learn the safest practices best production techniques and to understand quality control while interacting with management on a regular basis. This job requires knowledge of the process workflow and production in the locations manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • One year of related prior work experience in manufacturing or production
  • Familiar with production departmental operations, organization policies, applicable laws, procedures, and processes
  • Knowledge of specialized departmental equipment operation including forklifts, pallet jacks, push carts, scales, and production packaging equipment
  • Ability to effectively train and direct the workforce to meet production goals and departmental goals/objectives in a high volume department
  • Mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities
  • Demonstrated organizational and problem solving skills
  • Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
  • Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

  • Trains and develops workforce.
  • Coordinates training, trains, and monitors trainees to assure quality of work and progression towards qualification.
  • Ensures adherence to procedures, regulations and guidelines while minimizing errors and safety risks.
  • Tracks tardiness, absenteeism, and availability of trainees.
  • Observes behavior of trainees while performing job and responds to potential problems towards the qualification process, and to ensure the safety of individuals.
  • Creates a variety of documents including One Point Lessons, Standard Operating Procedures, and various training materials.
  • Must be able to work and accomplish job tasks without constant supervision along with the ability to improve team member morale.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
