About The Position
The Assistant Host/Hostess is a pleasant, up-beat, and courteous professional who understands that our customers are the source of everything important to our business. He or she supervises and coordinates the activities of the dining room staff to ensure fast and courteous service to our guests. Shifts usually start between 4:00 and 5:00pm and end between 7:00-8:00, never ending past 9:30 in summer.
Responsibilities
- Welcome Guests in a warm and friendly manner
- Seats Guests in the dining room or show them to private spaces
- Answer phones and take reservations
- Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
- Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, setting tables, etc.
- Helps fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
