About The Position

The Assistant Hospital Manager (AHM) plays a crucial role in supporting the development and achievement of unit and organizational goals at El Camino Health. This part-time position is responsible for overseeing daily operations, resource management, and ensuring customer satisfaction while driving process and performance improvements. The AHM is a key leader who empowers teams to implement changes that enhance clinical, operational, and financial performance, ultimately delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) required.
• Master's degree in Nursing or a health-related field preferred.
• Five years of current clinical experience in an acute care setting (critical care or emergency department preferred) OR three years in a Charge Nurse, Assistant Hospital Manager, or Hospital Supervisor role.
• Management or leadership experience preferred.
• Advanced communication skills in advocacy, negotiation, confrontation, and conflict resolution.
• Current California RN License required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and attainment of unit and organizational goals.
• Direct daily operations and manage resources to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Oversee clinical practice, staffing, supply chain, and budget management.
• Handle employee relations, performance management, and evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Manage patient throughput on assigned shifts and collaborate with clinical staff for patient placement.
• Interface with the public to address patient and family concerns.
• Float between campuses as required.
