The Assistant Healthy Living Director is responsible for developing and implementing member engagement strategies with a focus on helping members reach their personal wellness goals. This position will provide healthy living initiatives such as SMART Start Trainings, Youth Fitness Fundamentals, Orientations, and other member engagement initiatives. The individual in this role will actively participate as a member of the branch leadership team, risk management, annual giving, and Manager on Duty. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for the daily operation of the Wellness Center, including staff supervision, member engagement, equipment maintenance, cleanliness, and safety. Implements Healthy Living strategies that support the engagement and retention of existing members. Develops and leads new member connection and education efforts such as Smart Start appointments, Youth Fitness, and special events, etc. Creates a member-focused culture and models relationship-building skills in all interactions. Fosters a climate of innovation and resolves problems to ensure member satisfaction. Assists in creating and implementing high-quality health and wellness programs and services, which support branch and association mission, goals, and strategies. Cross promotes membership and other branch programming. Participates in leadership and department meetings and/or related meetings. Takes a leadership role in the Annual Campaign with campaigner volunteer and donor recruitment, philanthropic outreach, and board member recruitment Completes required abuse risk management training. Adheres to policies and procedures related to appropriate boundaries with children. Monitors building, staff, and members and reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations to supervisor. Follows mandated abuse reporting requirements to authorities.
