About The Position

Assistant Healthcare Coordinator We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Healthcare Coordinator (AHCC) to support resident care and assist with oversight of caregivers in our assisted living community. This role works closely with the Healthcare Coordinator to ensure high-quality personal care services, compliance with regulations, and a safe, supportive environment for our residents. What You’ll Do Monitor the EHR dashboard to ensure compliance and accurate documentation. Assist with audits, regulatory reviews, and incident reporting. Support staff training, guidance, and ongoing education under the direction of the Healthcare Coordinator. Respond to on-call needs as allowed by state regulations. Collect lab samples (urine, sputum, etc.) and follow up with residents, families, and physicians on results. Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, etc.) and monitor resident well-being. Provide direct caregiving support when needed, including assistance with daily living activities and mobility. Maintain resident safety, comfort, and dignity at all times. Welcome and assist residents, visitors, and families with professionalism and compassion. Partner with the Healthcare Coordinator and Director on documentation, education, and disciplinary actions as needed. Attend in-service programs to enhance skills and knowledge. Uphold confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and community policies. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in long-term care or dementia care required .
  • At least 6 months of hands-on caregiving experience with seniors preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Professionalism and empathy when supporting residents and families.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in emotionally charged situations.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, internet).
  • Must complete required state continuing education.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
