About The Position

The Assistant Grocery Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market plays a crucial role in enhancing customer experiences by providing excellent service and managing a busy grocery team. Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age and 1-3 years of retail management experience.
  • Familiarity with natural foods and alternative diets preferred.
  • Dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to take and give direction in a team environment.
  • Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
  • Proven leadership ability to build, motivate, and maintain staff, with knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
  • Strong focus on detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organization and planning skills; able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in grocery or food retail management.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food handling.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
  • Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
  • Effectively coordinate merchandising and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
  • Assist in leading a team that brainstorms to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience for customers.
  • Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Grocery Team.
  • Unload and sort through store deliveries.
  • Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Grocery team members are also aware of and following these procedures.
