The Assistant & Teaching Professional essential responsibilities include welcoming members and guests in the pro shop and around the club, anticipating and assisting with their needs. The role involves working with the tee sheet and point of sale software, performing all opening and closing procedures, handling cash, and coordinating with the accounting office, as needed. Monitoring pace of play for the enjoyment of our guests is also a key responsibility. The Assistant & Teaching Professional will schedule, mentor, and oversee the golf club and outdoor services staff, implement club policies and procedures, and organize and conduct golf tournaments, including event planning, promotion, course set-up, preparation, scoring, prize distribution, and follow-up. Additionally, managing the golf cart fleet and practice facility, creating a customer service-oriented atmosphere that promotes the game of golf, and coordinating with F&B staff to help schedule Beverage Cart operations are essential tasks. The role also includes managing merchandising operations, to include inventory control, ordering, receiving, displays, and sales, along with any and all other duties assigned by the club's owners. The Assistant & Teaching Professional is expected to serve as a role model to the entire golf team by demonstrating an unwavering enthusiasm, positive disposition, strong work ethic, and professional image at all times.
