One of the most beloved resorts in New England, The Woodstock Inn & Resort, is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to join the team at the Woodstock Country Club. Named one of the top 100 golf resorts by Golf Magazine, the Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed golf course at Woodstock Inn & Resort is an 18-hole masterpiece of terrain features that excite the most seasoned player. Surrounded by breathtaking panoramic views of the Kedron Valley, our full-service facility is open to the public and also features a Golf Shop, practice range, putting green, private lessons, and the Fairway Grill restaurant and bar. Job Summary: The Assistant Golf Professional will work closely alongside the Lead Assistant, Operations Manager and Director of Golf in administering all aspects of the golf program.
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Must have a minimum of 3-4 years of golf-related experience.
- Must possess a valid drivers’ license & clean driving record.
- Point-of-sales experience required.
- Proficient playing skills and instructional background.
- Ability to work independently and collectively as a team leader.
- Prior experience in a customer service-oriented position is required.
Nice To Haves
- College degree or golf specific certification is preferred.
- Current enrollment in PGA Associate program, or future desire to enroll is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with retail operations ensuring a professional appearance and appropriately stocked golf shop at all times.
- Assist with checking in members, public and resort guests for daily play.
- Assist our outside operations team of starters, driving range and bag room staff.
- Will play an active role in the instruction program supporting junior golf.
- Private lessons will also be conducted based on experience and teaching proficiency.
- Will provide integral support of weekly member programming including Men’s and Ladies Association’s as well as Mixed and Legue nights.
