About The Position

Your role We’re hiring! Wild Spring Dunes, a new world class resort in East Texas, is seeking two professional positions, Senior Assistant Golf Professional and Assistant Golf Professional to join our team in Mt. Enterprise, TX. These roles will be instrumental and play pivotal leadership roles within the golf operation and the resort community as a whole. The Assistant Golf Professional plays an essential role in supporting and enhancing the overall golf operations at Wild Spring Dunes, a premier golf resort committed to delivering an exceptional golf experience for players of all ages and skill levels. This position is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day management of golf activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for the game of golf and for providing outstanding customer service. Daily responsibilities include interacting with guests, ensuring smooth and efficient operations and supporting all members of the golf operations team. As a key representative of Wild Spring Dunes, the Assistant Golf Professional is expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, hospitality, and integrity while contributing to a positive and welcoming atmosphere. Who We Are Wild Spring Dunes will be a public golf resort with world-class golf, accommodations, and homesites. Two courses are routed with plans established for a short course, practice center, 40 key hotel, rental homes and F&B Outlets. Set on over 2,400 sandy, secluded acres, here you will find dramatic elevation changes that highlight four distinct and diverse ecosystems: towering pines and hardwood forest, open, grassy meadows, rolling hills, and steep ravines carved by spring-fed creeks that crawl through the secluded site. Wild Spring Dunes is located in East Texas, between Houston and the DFW Metroplex, representing an escape, a destination, a place to come together in community, a home for golf and wilderness lovers alike.

Requirements

  • A college degree is preferred.
  • PGA Class A Member or enrolling in PGA Apprentice Program.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in golf operations, preferably in a resort or hospitality setting, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in high-profile customer service, preferably in a high-end golf, retail and/or hospitality business.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests, staff, and external vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, make decisions under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a high level of service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, POS systems, golf tee sheet management or related software.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and appearance.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Read and write (English)
  • Communicate verbally with staff members and or guests with or without using two-way radios.
  • Give and or follow verbal and written instructions
  • Operate transport vehicles
  • Stand, sit, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend, and kneel for up to 5 hours at a time
  • Lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally, 50 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional day-to-day golf operations by executing established service standards and operating procedures alongside the Golf Professional team.
  • Serve as a visible and welcoming presence for guests, founders, and visitors by managing daily tee time operations, guest check-in, and golf shop interactions.
  • Lead and support the daily coordination of Starters, Hosts, Outside Services, and Valet teams to ensure smooth guest arrivals, departures, and on-course flow.
  • Assist in the setup and execution of tournaments, events, and group outings, helping ensure seamless coordination across golf, caddie services, food & beverage, and guest services.
  • Provide individual instruction, clinics, and player development opportunities that enhance the Wild Spring Dunes guest experience.
  • Maintain daily operational readiness across the golf operation, including practice facilities, golf shop presentation, inventory organization, and equipment care.
  • Manage tee sheet accuracy, cash handling, and guest inquiries with professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Uphold and reinforce the Wild Spring Dunes brand standards during the pre-opening phase and through the launch of resort operations.
  • Build strong relationships with guests, founders, and team members while helping establish the welcoming culture that will define Wild Spring Dunes.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the successful opening and ongoing operation of the resort.
