About The Position

Lake Nona Golf & Country Club, Orlando’s most exclusive private club, ranked as a Platinum Club of the World and a Distinguished Emerald Club of the World, is seeking a passionate and driven Assistant Golf Professional. The club is committed to offering its 500 members and their families the very best amenities, programs, and service. This role supports both the golf operations team and coaching team, integrating elite coaching, player development, club fitting/building, and golf operations to deliver a world-class experience for members and guests. Requirements

  • PGA Member or Associate
  • Knowledge of USGA Rules and handicap system
  • Experience or interest in junior coaching
  • Willingness to learn club fitting/building
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Maintain strong playing ability
  • Represent the club professionally
  • Support all areas of the golf operation as needed
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English

Nice To Haves

  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Handicap ~4 preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in junior golf programs (ages 5–13)
  • Lead select sessions and coordinate staff scheduling
  • Support development of players ages 11–13
  • Track player performance and provide on-course coaching
  • Run weekly junior competitions (Operation 36 & 18-hole divisions)
  • Assist with clinics, lessons, and player development initiatives
  • Assist with custom fittings
  • Perform grip installs
  • Verify club specifications and quality control
  • Communicate with members regarding equipment orders
  • Support inventory management
  • Assist with tee time bookings and member services
  • Support tournament operations
  • Maintain shop merchandising and inventory
  • Process sales and merchandise
  • Enforce club policies (pace of play, dress code)
  • Engage with members to enhance experience
  • Assist with monthly inventory coordination
  • Maintain Pathos Performance Center cleanliness and technology
  • Answer phones and member inquiries
  • Support opening and closing procedures
